Work
I run ATW Advisors. We help business owners across the country navigate risk mitigation and insurance without the opacity and frustration that usually comes with it. Before this I spent 17 years in commercial insurance brokerage.
Most of our clients sit in commercial real estate. We are asset class agnostic but heavy in multifamily, and we now work with clients in more than 20 states. Their AUM runs from around $200 million up to several billion.
A lot of what we do comes down to data. ATW aggregates what insurance brokers and other partners share with us nationwide, so we go into a negotiation with detailed information on rates, coverage, access points and market dynamics.
Outside the firm, I serve as Co-chair of CREW Orange County.
Where I am
Based in Orange County. I spend about a quarter of my time in New York.
What's on my mind
Systems, mostly. I spend way too much time thinking about them, along with cute small animals and how to make the world a little brighter every day.
You will also catch me posting about fitness, flowers, old typewriters, quantum physics, aliens, random observations, and of course raccoon advocacy.

X has introduced me to some incredible people. When I first joined I got on a plane across the country to attend a gala hosted by a giant cartoon head, and everything snowballed from there. I miss the old RETwit and I am hoping the latest algorithm change turns into a family reunion.
