Legally Blonde Showed What Real People Looked Like

I rewatched Legally Blonde last night. It's amazing to see how roughly 20 years ago, it was totally normal for people to have imperfect teeth, unique and distinguishing facial features.

People in movies looked like real people, not like carbon copies of the same Instagram plastic surgery and Kardashian mold.

The Pendulum Is Swinging Back Toward Natural

My maybe unpopular opinion is that the trend is starting to shift the other way toward more natural features again.

In 10 years, we will look at this time period as insane for beauty norms.

Today's Extremes Will Look Like Tomorrow's Mistakes

People who got ribs removed to be a size smaller or got cadaver fat injected for BBLs or whittled down their teeth for veneers will be considered psychopaths.

It's a pattern we've seen before. What feels cutting-edge in one era becomes the cautionary tale of the next. And right now, we're living through peak artificiality. But the backlash is already building. You can see it in the way younger generations are pushing back against inherited expectations that don't serve them.

Real Features Are Coming Back

The shift is already happening. People are tired of everyone looking the same. Unique features, imperfect smiles, and faces that actually move are becoming desirable again.

What we're witnessing is the natural correction that always follows excess. The pendulum swung too far toward manufactured perfection, and now it's swinging back.

Give it a decade. We'll all be wondering what we were thinking.
