Before my best friend died, she had been leaning into a passion for fragrance. She had even started some social media pages about searching for her signature scent.
I went back and watched all of her videos to figure out her favorite scents and notes. Today, Shannon's Signature Scent got made. Now me and those close to her can have a little bit of her with us all the time.
Processing Loss
I'm not sure how to properly process grief or how to act in this situation. But I feel like she would've loved this.
Leaving Impressions
I've thought about it a lot lately. And maybe the best any of us can hope for is to leave enough of an impression on a few people that they want to keep us around as much as possible after we're gone.
That's what legacy really means. It's not about fame or fortune. It's about the people who carry a piece of you forward.
Moving Forward
Grief doesn't have a manual. Sometimes the most meaningful thing you can do is find a way to keep someone's passion alive.
Whether it's finishing a project they started or simply holding onto what made them unique, these small acts of remembrance matter. They're how we stay united with those we've lost.
If you've lost someone close to you, consider finding a way to honor what they loved. It won't fix the grief, but it might bring a little bit of them back into your everyday life.
